Woodlands raise over £800 for families in need

Families at Woodlands Day Nursery in Milton Keynes were delighted to come together for a fun-filled Summer Fete, all while raising £884.00 for The Sick Children’s Trust.

There was something for everyone to enjoy at the setting on Byerly Place, including carnival games like tin can alley, glitter tattoos, a suncatcher making station, biscuit decorating, toy tombola and an ice cream van providing delicious treats as families had fun in the sunshine.

The £884.00 raised by Woodlands families and colleagues will now be donated to The Sick Children’s Trust. The charity provide ‘Homes from Home’ for families with seriously ill children receiving hospital treatment, allowing them to stay close when they need it most.

Woodlands Day Nursery Manager, Alyson Hefferon explained;

“Every year we look forward to hosting our families for our annual Summer Fete, and this year proved to be another fantastic celebration. We are so grateful to everyone for their support in fundraising for The Sick Children’s Trust, and to generate such an incredible amount whilst spending quality time with our nursery community means so much.”
