The sun was shining at Brinds Well Day Nursery in Chelsfield as families and colleagues gathered for a fun-filled Summer Fete, all whilst raising money for a very important cause.
Complete with carnival games including hook-a-duck and ring toss, arts and crafts, a garden obstacle course and a sandpit filled with buried treasure, children were delighted to immerse themselves in all the fun on offer at the ‘Under the Sea’ themed celebration.
As part of the festivities, families enjoyed glitter tattoos, face painting, a hot dog stand and an ice lolly sale, all together raising over £800.00 for The Sick Children’s Trust. The money raised will help provide ‘Homes from Home’ for families with seriously ill children receiving hospital treatment, allowing them to stay close to their loved ones when they need it most.
Brinds Well Quality Manager, Megan Cardigan explained;
“We were delighted to welcome so many families to our Summer Fete. It was wonderful to see everyone embracing the theme and enjoying all the activities together. Raising more than £800.00 for The Sick Children’s Trust is a fantastic achievement, and we’re incredibly proud and grateful for what our nursery community has achieved together.”
