Celebrating 20 years of service at Lavenders

There was cause for celebration at Lavenders Day Nursery in Bedford as the team honoured their Deputy Manager, Claire Adamson, as they marked her milestone 20-years of service.

Claire first joined the setting on Bushmead Avenue as a college student in 2006. After qualifying, she accepted a full-time position at Lavenders and has since progressed through the ranks, serving as Room Leader, Third in Charge and, most recently, Deputy Manager. Over the past two decades, Claire has played a vital role in the Ofsted-rated Outstanding nursery’s success, helping to positively shape the lives of countless children through her care and commitment to providing exceptional early years education.

Raising money for worthy causes has also been integral to Claire’s time at Lavenders, taking part in team fundraisers and leading on events including summer fetes, fun days and raffles, which have contributed to the £4 million and counting raised by Childbase Partnership for charities including Bliss and The British Heart Foundation over the past 35 years, as well as taking part in community events such as food bank drives for people in need.

To mark the special occasion, Claire received a tax-free bonus reward payment and an extra paid week of annual leave, as well as being treated to lunch by her proud colleagues, whilst reminiscing over favourite memories at Lavenders from the past two decades.

Lavenders Nursery Manager, Dizzie Newberry said;

“Twenty years of service is an amazing achievement, and everyone at Lavenders is delighted to celebrate Claire. She is a fantastic role model for our team and has made a real difference to so many families. Her kindness, knowledge and enthusiasm inspire both her colleagues and the children in our care every day. We’re incredibly grateful for everything Claire has contributed, and look forward to many more years together.”
