Colleagues from West Downs Day Nursery in Winchester have launched a weekly Charity Bootcamp in their continued efforts to raise vital funds for The Sick Children’s Trust.
The initiative will take place every Wednesday at the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Romsey Road setting, with team members each donating £5 to take part. Every contribution will go directly to their Charity of the Year; The Sick Children’s Trust, whilst encouraging colleagues to stay active, improve their wellbeing and spend time together outside in the fresh air.
The money raised will help provide families with a warm, welcoming place to stay when their child is seriously ill in hospital. Without this vital support, many families would face long journeys, sleepless nights in hospital chairs, or expensive hotel stays.
West Downs Deputy Manager, Danni Markwick explained;
“We’re delighted to launch our Charity Bootcamp. It’s a fantastic way to bring the team together, support everyone’s physical and mental health, and raise money for such an incredible charity. We’re looking forward to seeing the sessions grow and making a real difference through our fundraising.”
