Summit to shout about at Knowle Green

Knowle Green Snowdon

A devoted childcare team from Knowle Green Day Nursery in Staines were delighted to complete a climb up Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, all in aid of charity.

As a result of their efforts, colleagues; Chanelle Weaver, Brittany Perry, Sammie Betts, Lucie Anderson-Moore, Rachel Anderson-Moore, Jaimee Atkins, Mel Read, Roberta Eskyte, Remisa Marko, Kyra Mantle, Grace Dalgliesh and Madison Owens have raised over £1,300.00 for The Sick Children’s Trust, with donations still incoming from supporters.

The climb up Snowdon, which sits at 1,085 metres above sea level, is the latest in a series of fundraising initiatives for the Knowle Green team, whose colleagues have been raising money for the worthy cause to help provide families with a warm, welcoming place to stay when their child is seriously ill in hospital. Without this vital support, many families would face long journeys, sleepless nights in hospital chairs, or expensive hotel stays.

Knowle Green Manager, Chanelle Weaver explained;

“The weather certainly tested us with hail, strong winds and rain, but our determination kept us going every step of the way. We reached the summit after six and a half hours and are absolutely delighted to have raised more than £1,300 for The Sick Children’s Trust. Knowing the funds will help families through some of the toughest times of their lives made every step worthwhile, and I couldn’t be prouder of the team.”

Knowle Green have adopted The Sick Children’s Trust for a year-long fundraising drive.
