National Apprenticeship Week at Nursery on the Green

The spotlight was on Early Years professionals in-training at Nursery on the Green in Southall as they were celebrated by colleagues during National Apprenticeship Week.

At the setting on Thorncliffe Road, Apprentices; Alia Khan and Myra Khan were each presented with flowers and gifts from their grateful Managers, Meera Ladva and Harpreet Deol, who encouraged them to aim for their jobs in the future.

As part of the Childbase Partnership group, the Apprentices gain their qualifications through the company’s in-house training centre; Edubase Academy. Here learners benefit from Princess Royal Award-winning training, a comprehensive range of leadership courses, mentoring, and expert support, all whilst gaining hands-on nursery experience.

Nursery on the Green Manager, Meera Ladva explained;

“National Apprenticeship Week is a wonderful opportunity for us to recognise the passion, commitment and potential of our Apprentices here at Nursery on the Green. Alia and Myra have shown real dedication to their professional development, embracing every learning opportunity both in the nursery and at the academy. We are incredibly proud of their progress and feel privileged to support them as they build rewarding careers with us.”

During their training days at Edubase Academy in Buckinghamshire, Apprentices benefit from inspiring learning environments, chill out zones and wellbeing amenities, including barista-style refreshments on tap and home-cooked meals, prepared by the resident chef.

Learners are supported by specialist Functional Skills tutors in Maths and English, alongside a team of experienced Childbase Partnership professionals. Many of these experts have worked across the organisation’s 43 nursery settings and provide face-to-face training, in-person observations and tailored support to help apprentices successfully achieve.
