Childbase hands over nearly £160,000 to YoungMinds

Childbase YoungMinds cheque

Following a year of fundraising, Childbase Partnership were delighted to hand over a total of £159,935.18 to YoungMinds to help them fund their vital mental health support services.

From Snowdon climbs and skydives to sponsored walks and summer fayres, colleagues and families across the 43 day-nurseries and Head Office spent 2025 raising money for the worthy cause, which was nominated as ‘Charity of the Year’ through an employee vote. Focused on backing the ‘Never Alone’ campaign, the funds will help utilise digital support to ensure every young person can access help quickly and easily to improve their situation.

The cheque was presented to YoungMinds during a special ceremony at the Childbase Partnership Head Office in Newport Pagnell, with Charity Representatives in attendance from each nursery setting who were hailed as “extraordinary” by the charity. The money raised will help fund vital support services for around 80,000 young people.

Childbase Partnership CEO, Emma Rooney explained;

“This has been an outstanding year of fundraising, made possible by the commitment and generosity of our colleagues and families. As an early years organisation, we see firsthand how important it is to support children’s wellbeing from the very beginning, helping to build strong foundations for the years ahead. That is why our partnership with YoungMinds has been so meaningful to us, and we are immensely proud that our efforts will help make a real difference to the lives of young people across the UK.”

Throughout 2026, Childbase Partnership will be supporting The Sick Children’s Trust, which helps keep families close to their seriously ill children in hospital by providing a place to stay and easing emotional and financial pressures. Without this vital support, many families would face long-distance travel, sleepless nights in hospital chairs, or costly hotel stays.

Childbase Partnership has given over £4 million to charities including The Trussell Trust, CRUK and Alzheimer’s Society since opening in 1989, whilst every employee is also given a paid Volunteer Day annually to help give back to the causes that matter most to them.
