At Childbase Partnership, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to flourish, learn, and reach their full potential.
We are committed to providing an inclusive environment where all children are valued, respected, and supported according to their individual pathway. Our approach ensures that children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as children working beyond age related expectations, receive the support and opportunities they need to achieve the very best outcomes.
If your child has identified additional needs, is being supported by other professionals or you have some parental concerns regarding their learning and development, please share this with us at the point of enquiry.
We will then arrange an extended tour to include our nursery Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO), who will invite you to complete an access and inclusion walk. This process allows us to take the time to understand how best to adapt our environment, and curriculum implementation to best meet your child’s individual needs.
During a series of individualised settling in sessions, your child’s Key Person will plan engaging and stimulating activities and learning experiences tailored to your child’s individual needs and interests. Observations gathered during these sessions will help determine a suitable start date and identify any additional or external support that may be required to ensure your child’s needs are fully met.
Please contact your local Childbase nursery to request a copy of our current SEND and Inclusion and admissions policy.
At Childbase Partnership, we recognise that every child develops at their own pace and in their own unique way. Using our Ready Steady Grow milestones alongside our knowledge of each child as an individual, we build a holistic understanding of their learning, development and wellbeing.
Through regular observation, assessment and responsive planning, our practitioners celebrate children’s strengths, nurture their interests and identify any areas where additional support may be beneficial. By monitoring progress across all areas of learning and development, we can respond promptly to emerging needs and provide support at the earliest opportunity.
Early identification and intervention can make a significant difference to a child’s outcomes. By recognising and responding to individual needs as early as possible, we work in partnership with families and, where appropriate, other professionals to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.
Our aim is to create positive, inclusive learning experiences where every child feels valued, confident and empowered to reach their full potential.
Your child’s individualised progress will be assessed using the Department for Education SEND assessment tools and personal targets will be set by our SENDCO in partnership with you and all other professionals working with your child at twelve weekly reviews.
