Woodlands Walk raises over £300 for The Trussell Trust

Two colleagues from Woodlands Day Nursery in Barnet were delighted to complete an 8k walk through London in order to raise vital funds for The Trussell Trust food bank network.

Business Administrator, Sophia Southam and Nursery Practitioner, Suchi Nath, embarked on the journey from Camden Town to Little Venice on foot and back again in a total of 2 hours and 20 minutes, along with Sophia’s son for motivation, raising a grand total of £320.00 from generous supporters, which will now go towards feeding local people facing hardship.

The 8k walk via Regents Canal is the latest in a series of fundraisers for the team, who have recently enjoyed initiatives including summer fetes and dress up days, as well as regular collections of essential food and toiletries for the Chipping Barnet Foodbank.

Woodlands Day Nursery Business Administrator, Sophia Southam explained;

“We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported us in this meaningful cause. The Trussell Trust does an amazing job providing emergency food and support to people in crisis. By raising funds, we are helping them ensure that no one goes hungry in our community. It was an amazing day filled with laughter, motivation, and determination.”

Woodlands have adopted The Trussell Trust for a year-long fundraising and donation drive.
