Windmill Hill Day Nursery mark International Tiger Day

Windmill Hill International Tiger Day

Celebrations were well underway at Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon as children and colleagues dressed up to mark International Tiger Day with a series of themed activities.

At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Windmill Hill Business Park, pre-schoolers dressed in orange and black for the occasion and had their faces painted by talented practitioners, before delving into inspired sensory play to develop language and motor skills.

As part of the festivities, children enjoyed the beloved story of ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ by Judith Kerr and related role play activities, whilst generous parents and colleagues made donations of essential food items and toiletries for The Trussell Trust, having pledged a year-long fundraising campaign to help local people in need through the food bank network.

Windmill Hill Day Nursery Quality Manager, Karamay Pritchett explained;

“We love to celebrate a diverse calendar of events in nursery throughout the year to provide the children with a rich array of learning experiences. We had a brilliant time marking International Tiger Day and this entailed so many opportunities to showcase creativity.”

International Tiger Day was celebrated on Saturday 29th July 2023.
