There was cause for celebration at Nature Trails Day Nursery in Cawston as Nursery Practitioner, Julie Thorpe, showcased her bravery with an abseil to raise funds for charity.
Embarking on the 90ft descent down the iconic Coventry Cathedral alongside her brother, Julie was delighted to raise a grand total of £410.00 for The Myton Hospices, which will now go towards helping support people living with a terminal illness, as well as their families.
Following her efforts, Childbase Partnership made a donation of £250.00 from their Charity Support Fund to help Julie meet the total, an initiative which is in place to benefit worthy causes outside of adopted charity of the year, The Trussell Trust, with all colleagues across the company able to apply for backing for the causes close to their hearts.
Nature Trails Nursery Practitioner, Julie Thorpe explained;
“Abseiling down the Coventry Cathedral was a fantastic experience, and I am so proud to be making the donation to The Myton Hospices, who do incredible work in helping families during the hardest period in their lives. I’m hugely grateful to all my colleagues for their generosity and to Childbase Partnership for their support in my fundraising.”
