Taking fundraising to new heights at Hertford Barns
There was cause for celebration at Hertford Barns Day Nursery as devoted Nursery Practitioner, Mollie Bewley, showcased her bravery with a skydive to raise funds for charity.
Taking to the skies over Devon, Mollie from the award-winning setting on Cole Green made the jump from 15,000ft to raise money for The Trussell Trust food bank network, raising a grand total of £420.00 for the worthy cause thanks to the donations of generous supporters, which will now go towards providing emergency food parcels to local people facing hardship.
The skydive is the latest in a series of fundraisers for the team, who have recently enjoyed initiatives including a fun-filled Summer Fete with families, raising £680.00 for the charity, as well as making regular donations of food and toiletries to their local food bank.
Hertford Barns Day Nursery Practitioner, Mollie Bewley explained;
“I am absolutely thrilled to be making this donation to The Trussell Trust and supporting them in their important mission to ensure nobody goes hungry. The skydive was amazing and truly the best experience I’ve ever had, made all the better by knowing it will help our community.”
Hertford Barns have adopted The Trussell Trust for a year-long fundraising drive.
We prioritise the importance of outdoor play at Cedars Day Nursery in Leighton Buzzard. All children at our Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ nursery have access to our large, natural garden area on a daily basis as we recognise the impact that being outdoors has on a child’s social, emotional and physical development. The children enjoy planting vegetables and tasting their produce, served by our dedicated Nursery Chef.
