Exciting storytelling session for Green Park children

Green Park storytelling session

There was excitement all round for children at Green Park Day Nursery in Reading as they received a visit from newly published author and nursery parent, Dr Rani Singh.

At the award-winning setting on South Oak Way, pre-schoolers were captivated as they enjoyed a special storytelling session with Dr Rani, where she debuted her latest book, titled ‘Let’s Make Poo’, which explains the scientific journey food takes from the mouth through to the digestive tract using age-appropriate language and beautiful illustrations to engage.

During the informative session, Dr Rani read the educational story to the captivated group, before answering their questions on the human body and detailing why it’s important to drink water and eat a balanced diet including fibre-rich foods to keep the digestive system healthy.

Green Park Day Nursery Deputy Manager, Grace Critcher explained;

“We are hugely grateful to Dr Rani for taking time out of her busy day to deliver such an engaging storytelling session for our children, who really enjoyed learning more about the functions of the human body. This was a brilliant experience which really broadened their understanding, and the book is already a favourite within our Butterflies and Pre-School rooms. We can’t wait for Dr Rani to come back and share her next story with us.”

Dr Rani Singh is a dedicated family doctor based in the UK. Dr Rani has a strong belief in the power of imaginative learning for children and is on a mission to transform the way they learn about the human body. The first book of the series “Let’s Make Poo” is about the digestive system and is available to buy on Amazon now:
