There were learning opportunities at every turn for children at Nursery on the Green in Southall as they were joined by their parents for an art masterclass at the setting.
At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Thorncliffe Road, families were delighted to join their children aged between 18 and 30 months in the ‘Ladybirds’ group for a ‘stay and play session’, where the young creatives showcased their talents by painting still life.
Having set up art stations in the setting’s hub area, complete with fresh flowers as the focus and canvases for the group to paint their own interpretations, children were delighted to immerse themselves in all the experience had to offer as their proud parents watched on.
After creating their masterpieces, families were thrilled to gather for a picnic in the garden outside, where they enjoyed a selection of homemade treats and had the chance to socialise and explore the exciting learning environments, including bug hotels and allotment patches.
Nursery on the Green Team Leader, Harpreet Deol explained;
“We pride ourselves on having a strong parent partnership at Nursery on the Green and believe this is the key to ensuring the children thrive. Our hands-on approach enables families to gain a better understanding of the vast learning experiences on offer, whilst also facilitating rich learning experiences and quality time together.”
We prioritise the importance of outdoor play at Cedars Day Nursery in Leighton Buzzard. All children at our Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ nursery have access to our large, natural garden area on a daily basis as we recognise the impact that being outdoors has on a child’s social, emotional and physical development. The children enjoy planting vegetables and tasting their produce, served by our dedicated Nursery Chef.
