ZooLab visits delighted Windmill Hill Day Nursery children

Spiders, snakes, centipedes and snails were just some of the creatures that inquisitive children from Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon were able to get up close and personal to as they received an exciting visit from the ZooLab.

As part of the encounter, pre-schoolers from the award-winning setting on Windmill Hill Business Park, Whitehill Way were able hold and stroke the animals, as well as learn a range of interesting facts from the experienced handlers and sing beloved nursery rhymes in relation to the session, including ‘Incy Wincy Spider’.

Windmill Hill Day Nursery Quality Manager, Gemma Gill explained;

“The children absolutely loved the ZooLab visit and this provided so many rich learning experiences that go hand in hand with our work surrounding Eco-Schools. These sessions also provide children with the opportunity to meet and learn about creatures they wouldn’t usually see in everyday life, as well as teaching the responsibility that comes with looking after other living creatures.”
