Sweet treats for Maples Day Nursery colleagues
To celebrate the return of families and to thank colleagues for their dedication during the most challenging period in their setting’s history, practitioners from Maples Day Nursery in Winchester received a selection of treats from their grateful managers.
Having stayed open throughout the pandemic to care for keyworker children, the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Hatherley Road has since welcomed back the remainder of its families under the government directive, and the hard work of the team is being marked with weekly themed ‘Whacky Wednesday’ celebrations.
The most recent morale boosting activity was a ‘Doughnut Day’, where colleagues enjoyed a variety of treats and posed for team pictures with themed props.
Maples Day Nursery Deputy Manager, Lou Rowe explained;
“We are incredibly proud of the way our amazing colleagues have navigated the past few months. Not only have they helped to ensure our nursery families feel at ease and set a wonderful example by following new safety protocols and operating procedures, but continued to deliver outstanding childcare in such uncertain times. We were keen to show them each week just how grateful we are for their dedication.”
