Summer Fete raises money for ‘Mind’ at Cherry Trees Day Nursery
Practitioners from Cherry Trees Day Nursery in Cranfield were delighted to announce that over £700 had been raised for mental health charity ‘Mind’ after a successful summer fete with children and their families.
As well as having the chance to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse, delighted children from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Duncan Road were able to enjoy a series of attractions such as ‘hook a duck’, ‘pie the practitioner’ and an ice cream van whilst parents tried their luck at the bottle tombola.
Cherry Trees Day Nursery Manager, Emma Jestice explained;
“We are absolutely thrilled to have raised a grand total of £711 from our summer event, which was a brilliant day enjoyed by all. We aim to make a real difference when it comes to supporting worthy causes and Mind is reaching out to about 14 million people a year in the UK who are experiencing a mental health problem.”
Cherry Trees has adopted Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales which offers specialised services, advice and support to those living with a mental health problem, for a year-long fundraising drive.
Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Money raised will fund the charity’s work including the Mind Infoline and campaigning to secure a better deal for everybody who experiences a mental health problem.
