Staying connected at Grasshoppers Day Nursery

Children from Grasshoppers Day Nursery in St Albans were delighted to re-connect with their absent friends via group video calls, all whilst raising money for charity.

At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on York Road, practitioners arranged catch-up sessions throughout the week for the children who are not currently attending the setting, whilst generous parents were able to make voluntary donations to charity Cancer Research UK; raising a total of £400 for the worthy cause.

Grasshoppers Day Nursery Team Leader, Jodie Smart explained;

“The video calls have been an amazing way of keeping in touch and have given us a brilliant platform to run virtual activities such as yoga, dance, singing and storytelling sessions for the children who can’t physically be with us at the moment. This has been a huge success with up to 24 families joining at times; as well as raising vital funds for our chosen charity, Cancer Research UK.”
