Raising money for ‘Mind’ at Nursery on the Green
Cupcakes, cookies and doughnuts were just some of the sweet treats on offer as practitioners from Nursery on the Green Day Nursery in Southall held a bake sale in aid of mental health charity ‘Mind’.
Held on ‘Mental Health Awareness Week’ in the UK, families from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Thorncliffe Road gave generously towards the cause and helped to raise nearly £200 which will be used for vital support and research.
Nursery on the Green Manager, Emma Matthews said;
“We aim to make a real difference when it comes to supporting worthy causes and Mind is reaching out to about 14 million people a year in the UK who are experiencing a mental health problem.”
Nursery on the Green has adopted Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales which offers specialised services, advice and support to those living with a mental health problem, for a year-long fundraising drive.
Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Money raised will fund the charity’s work including the Mind Infoline and campaigning to secure a better deal for everybody who experiences a mental health problem.
