Pyjama fundraiser for Meadow View Day Nursery
Children and staff from Meadow View Day Nursery in Newport Pagnell were warm and cosy as they spent the day in pyjamas, all in the name of charity.
Wearing dressing gowns and slippers, a total of £80 was raised for charity ‘Mind’ at the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery, where hot chocolate was served and teddies brought in by children for a special picnic.
Meadow View Day Nursery has adopted Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales which offers specialised services, advice and support to those living with a mental health problem, for a year-long fundraising drive.
“We aim to make a real difference when it comes to supporting worthy causes and Mind is reaching out to about 14 million people a year in the UK who are experiencing a mental health problem,” said Elkie Taylor, Nursery Manager.
Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Money raised will fund the charity’s work including the Mind Infoline and campaigning to secure a better deal for everybody who experiences a mental health problem.
