Oak Tree Day Nursery mark National Nursery Practitioner Day

Devoted childcare professionals from Oak Tree Day Nursery in Finchampstead have been celebrated by their proud managers as part of festivities for the fourth annual ‘National Nursery Practitioner Day’.

The occasion, which looks to honour the hard work and dedication of those in the Early Years sector, has been marked by colleagues from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Childbase Partnership setting on Nine Mile Ride, who enjoyed a team dress down day and seasonal pumpkin spice lattes by way of appreciation.

From bidding farewell to another cohort of pre-schoolers as they transition to school, to raising vital funds for Cancer Research UK through a variety of fundraising initiatives including sponsored walks and virtual balloon races, colleagues reflected upon their accomplishments from over the past year as part of the special day.

Oak Tree Day Nursery Deputy Manager, Becca Rowland explained;

“We had a lovely time celebrating National Nursery Practitioner Day and this provided a great morale boost to our team who have worked so hard over the past year. We are hugely proud of the example they set to the children and the exceptional service they continue to provide to our nursery families.”

In addition to bonuses for employees working throughout lockdown and a tax-free Partnership Dividend payment of up to £1,000 each, the company have recently held a series of virtual wellbeing events, from awards ceremony with musical performances by ‘Scouting For Girls’, to virtual bingo nights and yoga sessions to maintain connections and boost morale.

National Nursery Practitioner Day is celebrated on 18th October 2021.
