Oak Tree Day Nursery declared ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted for fourth time
There was cause for celebration at Oak Tree Day Nursery in Finchampstead as proud practitioners and parents learnt that the setting had achieved Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ status for the fourth time running.
Describing the Nine Mile Ride setting as “inspirational” and highly-skilled staff as “excellent” teachers, an Ofsted inspector commended the dedicated team for creating a welcoming environment “where all children flourish”.
Strong partnerships with parents were also praised and described as “highly effective”, adding that staff regularly liaise with professionals and carers to seek advice, review children's progress and set them challenging targets.
The inspector went on to applaud the “wonderful ways” in which practitioners taught children about important topics such as diversity and the environment, embracing natural curiosity to create positive learning experiences.
Ofsted Inspector, Ingrid Howell said;
“Children thrive in the setting and behaviour is exemplary. The highly skilled staff are superb role models. They use their extensive knowledge of each child accurately when employing a range of strategies that help children to manage their feelings and regulate their own behaviour."
“Children of all ages demonstrate kindness and respect and understand how their behaviour impacts on others”, she added.
Oak Tree Day Nursery Manager, Debbie Williamson explained;
“We are absolutely delighted to have received this outcome from Ofsted once again and have our efforts recognised across the board. We are committed to giving our children the best possible start in life and this is made possible with the support of our incredible network of nursery parents.”
