Nature Trails Day Nursery celebrate lockdown heroes
From nurses and doctors to Childbase Partnership practitioners, children from Nature Trails Day Nursery in Cawston were delighted to dress up and celebrate their heroes of the pandemic.
To mark one year since the first lockdown, pre-schoolers from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Coventry Road enjoyed a series of themed activities, whilst hardworking colleagues were delighted to be greeted with a display of ‘thank you’ postcards from grateful parents, as well as being treated to individual lunch hampers and chocolates by proud managers for their continued efforts.
Nature Trails Day Nursery Manager, Vicky Stancer explained;
“Lockdown Heroes Day has provided a real morale boost during what has been such a strange time. It was wonderful to see the effort that went in to the children’s costumes and discuss the people who have inspired us over the past year, as well as celebrate our colleagues, who have worked so hard to continue delivering an extraordinary service to our nursery families.”
Using money from its ‘Charity Support Fund’, which is in place to help worthy causes away from fundraising partner ‘Cancer Research UK’, Childbase Partnership is also making a donation to ‘Duty to Care’, a charity which supports the wellbeing of healthcare professionals.
