Hope Education, one of our valued suppliers of nursery toys and resources, has made a generous donation to support our partnership with The Sick Children’s Trust.
A wide selection of toys, stationery and sketchbooks has been kindly donated to the charity’s two ‘Homes from Home’ in Newcastle – Scott House and Crawford House. The homes provide accommodation for families whose seriously ill children are receiving treatment at Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital and Royal Victoria Infirmary.
The Sick Children’s Trust helps families stay close to their child while they receive treatment in hospital, ensuring parents and loved ones can be there when they are needed most. By providing free accommodation, the charity also helps families avoid the significant costs associated with hotels, travel and other expenses during incredibly difficult times.
The donated resources will help to provide comfort, distraction and moments of fun for children and families staying at the Homes from Home.
We are incredibly grateful to Hope Education for supporting our partnership with The Sick Children’s Trust and helping us to extend our charitable efforts beyond our nurseries. Their generosity is a wonderful example of how working together can make a meaningful difference to families when they need support the most.
During the first half of the year, Childbase Partnership has raised more than £147,000 for The Sick Children’s Trust. Across the company, colleagues have gone above and beyond to raise vital funds that will help families stay close to their seriously ill child in hospital.
From taking on challenges such as climbing Mount Snowdon to organising summer fetes, bake-offs, fitness bootcamps and much more, our teams have shown incredible creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to supporting this important cause.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us reach this incredible milestone so far – and to Hope Education for helping us make an even bigger difference.
