Hellos and Goodbyes at Windmill Hill Day Nursery

Practitioners from Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon were delighted to welcome families back inside the setting for the first time in over a year following the easing of Covid restrictions, and made sure to pull out all the stops for the occasion.

At the award-winning day nursery on Windmill Hill Business Park, Whitehill Way, dedicated teams put together a breakfast table, complete with fresh fruit, pastries, cereal bars and more for parents to help themselves to in the morning, and decorated the entrance with a special balloon arch as part of the return celebrations.

Meanwhile, children who are about to embark on their final year at Windmill Hill as pre-schoolers, bid farewell to their current nursery room and the team within it with a goodbye party, complete with dancing, games and animal themed fancy dress.

Windmill Hill Day Nursery Quality Manager, Gemma Gill explained;

“This has been a real period of transition at the nursery and we wanted to celebrate all the positive changes that are happening. We have been absolutely thrilled to welcome families back after so long, and were keen to make the next steps at nursery as exciting as possible for the children to help them feel at ease.”
