Green Park Day Nursery celebrate lockdown heroes

To mark one year since the first Covid lockdown, children from Green Park Day Nursery in Reading were delighted to dress up as superheroes to honour the inspirational people who had made a difference throughout the pandemic.

At the day nursery on Lime Square, pre-schoolers commemorated the occasion with a range of themed activities including role playing as doctors, nurses, shop keepers and teachers, whilst hardworking colleagues were given personalised cards and chocolate gifts from grateful managers.

Green Park Day Nursery Deputy Manager, Lisa Manston explained;

“We have had a lovely time celebrating our lockdown heroes and it was wonderful to see the effort that went in to the children’s costumes. We have also made sure to include our amazing colleagues, who have worked so hard to continue delivering an extraordinary service to our nursery families.”

Using money from its ‘Charity Support Fund’, which is in place to help worthy causes away from fundraising partner ‘Cancer Research UK’, Childbase Partnership is also making a donation to ‘Duty to Care’, a charity which supports the wellbeing of healthcare professionals.
