Grasshoppers Day Nursery staff make smoothies for ‘Mind’
Staff from Grasshoppers Day Nursery in St Albans have been busy putting on a smoothie sale for parents on the go, all in the name of charity.
At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in York Road, creating fruity favourites is the latest fundraising initiative designed to raise money for ‘Mind’.
Grasshoppers Day Nursery Charity Representative, Jodie Smart said;
“We are always looking for new ways to fundraise at nursery and we thought a smoothie sale would be perfect for busy parents who are about to start their day. The morning was a brilliant success as we sold out and managed to raise £65.”
Grasshoppers has adopted Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales which offers specialised services, advice and support to those living with a mental health problem, for a year-long fundraising drive.
“We aim to make a real difference when it comes to supporting worthy causes and Mind is reaching out to about 14 million people a year in the UK who are experiencing a mental health problem,” said Jenifer Neville, Nursery Manager.
Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Money raised will fund the charity’s work including the Mind Infoline and campaigning to secure a better deal for everybody who experiences a mental health problem.
