Football Academy lessons at Swindon Day Nursery
Football skills were the focus of fun at Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon recently, with the introduction of their new extracurricular activity.
Wims 11 Football Academy are hosting the sessions at the nursery, located on Windmill Hill Business Park. They will be teaching the children basic ball skills as well as encouraging physical exercise and social interactions.
Nursery Deputy Manager Lora Worthington said:
“January is a great time of year to introduce a new physical activity and the introduction of extracurricular football skills is an excellent way to promote healthy lifestyles. Football is a team sport which encourages listening and social skills. And from the laughter across the nursery, it was clear the session was enjoyed by all.”
Windmill Hill have recently been certified to serve Food For Life Bronze at their nursery. Food for Life Served Here promotes more fresh, local and honest food on menus. At least 75% of food on Food for Life Served Here menus is freshly prepared from scratch on site or in a local kitchen.
