Field House scoops trophy in Christmas Parade

Field House Day Nursery children and staff delighted hundreds in the annual Buckingham Town Christmas parade and took the top prize for ‘Best Junior Float’.

Trophy winners for a total of eight years of the competition, the staff, children and parents at the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Tingewick Road pulled out all the stops with their ‘Enchanted Forest’ themed float.

Field House Day Nursery Manager, Kellie Seaton said the trophy is now proudly displayed in the Nursery reception area and the £50.00 prize money will be donated to charity.

“We are absolutely delighted. We all love this event as you can see by the enormous effort everybody – staff, children and parents - puts into their costumes and decoration of the float year on year.”

Particular praise went to Nursery Team Leader, Lucy Piosek, for her tireless efforts in co-ordinating the float, including numerous meetings and hard work to ensure the event was a success.

The prize money will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society, which has been adopted by Field House for a year-long charity fund raising drive.
