Festive fundraising at Grasshoppers Day Nursery
Festivities were well and truly underway at Grasshoppers Day Nursery in St Albans as families came together for the setting’s annual Christmas party.
Gathering at their local village hall, children and their parents from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in York Road enjoyed a host of attractions, including a magician, music and a visit from Santa, all whilst raising money for charity, ‘Mind’.
Grasshoppers Day Nursery Team Leader, Jodie Smart explained;
“We had a fantastic time celebrating with all our nursery families, and this is always a yearly highlight for us. We are delighted to be donating a total of £433.25 to Mind from the event, which will go towards funding crucial services such as the telephone support line.”
“We aim to make a real difference when it comes to supporting worthy causes and Mind is reaching out to about 14 million people a year in the UK who are experiencing a mental health problem”, she added.
Grasshoppers has adopted Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales which offers specialised services, advice and support to those living with a mental health problem, for a year-long fundraising drive.
