‘Decade Day’ at Windmill Hill Day Nursery
Tie dye t-shirts, hair scrunchies and leg warmers were just some of the accessories that children and staff from Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon wore for a special dress-up day to celebrate the beginning of the new decade.
Tasked with dressing up in clothing from the decade their parents were born, delighted pre-schoolers from the day nursery on Windmill Business Park, Whitehill Way, enjoyed a range of fun themed activities, whilst families were able to purchase retro sweets at pick up time – with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.
Windmill Hill Day Nursery Charity Representative, Emily Riordan said;
“We had a brilliant time marking the start of the new decade with the children, and everyone made such a fantastic effort with their outfits. We are delighted to begin our year of fundraising for Cancer Research UK with this event, after raising a total of £4,640.45 for mental health charity ‘Mind’ in 2019.”
In the past three decades, Childbase Partnership has raised over £3 million pounds for charity, including causes like Alzheimer’s Society and Children’s Air Ambulance.
