Creating still life masterpieces at Pennypot Day Nursery
Budding young artists from Pennypot Day Nursery in Chobham were delighted to showcase their creativity, after being tasked with creating still life paintings as part of a competition run by local housing developers, Seymours and Antler Homes.
Having finished their masterpieces, the winner was crowned as four year-old Kaelyn during a special ceremony at the day nursery on Pennypot Lane, where Antler Homes Managing Director, Andrew Rinaldi and colleagues from Seymours also awarded second and third place to talented pre-schoolers, as well as gifting a £100 Amazon voucher to the nursery for new supplies, books and toys.
The winning painting has now been framed and will take pride of place in one of the show homes of the new development, which is being built in West End, Surrey.
Pennypot Day Nursery Manager, Carol McDonough explained;
“The children had a wonderful time creating their paintings and we have been so impressed with all of the entries submitted. We are very excited for the public to see the winning design, and hope that activities like this one will inspire a passion for art in the children which lasts long beyond their time with us.”
