Cherry Trees Day Nursery spread kindness with hamper donation
Kind-hearted parents and colleagues from Cherry Trees Day Nursery in Cranfield have been showcasing their sense of community spirit by spreading kindness to the dedicated staff team at Bluebirds Neurological Care Centre in Milton Keynes.
Following a donation drive for gift items at the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Duncan Road, practitioners were delighted to be able to create a hamper with the generous contributions, which included sweet treats, bath sets and beauty items. The hamper was then personally delivered by Cherry Trees to the care home, which supports adults with degenerative neurological conditions at all stages.
Bluebirds Neurological Care Centre was picked by Cherry Trees to receive the hamper, following an appeal to parents to nominate worthy recipients in the area. The centre was put forward by the mother a child who wanted to give thanks to Bluebirds for the incredible support they had shown whilst caring for her own mother who is now a resident, having moved her 200 miles to receive their specialist care.
Cherry Trees Day Nursery Team Leader, Oli Baucutt explained;
“It was brilliant to hear of all the amazing and worthy nominations put forward by our nursery families, but this one was especially close to home and felt fitting as the family member now at Bluebirds used to be the Head Teacher of a community primary and nursery school. We were so pleased to be able to make this gesture to the devoted colleagues there, and want to thank them for everything they are doing.”
