Charity ‘cuppa and pastry’ morning at Crescent Day Nursery
Generous families from Crescent Day Nursery in Edgbaston were delighted to attend a ‘cuppa and pastry’ morning at the setting, all whilst raising vital funds for charity.
After enjoying an overdue catch up, parents from the award-winning day nursery on Calthorpe Road were able to choose from a spread of delicious breakfast items before heading to work, raising a grand total of £213.00 for Cancer Research UK.
Crescent Day Nursery Charity Representative, Becca Jeffs explained;
“Our nursery families are brilliant at getting behind worthy causes we support and we are so grateful for their kindness, after what has been a tough year for everyone. We had a lovely morning and are thrilled to be making this donation to Cancer Research UK.”
The initiative is the most recent fundraising activity for Crescent, who have also enjoyed dress up days, sponsored step challenges, virtual balloon races and more in their efforts to raise money for CRUK, who in December announced they had been forced to cut research funding by £45 million due to losses from the pandemic.
The nursery adopted Cancer Research UK in 2020 for a year-long fundraising drive, which has now been extended until the end of 2021.
