Celebrating World Book Day at Nursery on the Green
Peter Rabbit, The Gruffalo and Little Red Riding Hood were just some of the beloved characters impersonated by children at Nursery on the Green Day Nursery in Southall to mark ‘World Book Day’.
At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Thorncliffe Road, children dressed up as their favourite literary characters to commemorate the 22nd annual celebration, which looks to honour stories and encourage a love of reading.
Nursery on the Green Deputy Manager, Meera Ladva said;
“We’ve had a brilliant time reading our favourite books such as ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ and admiring the incredible effort that has gone into the costumes. Storytelling is essential for developing language and listening skills and is wonderful for capturing the imagination.”
