Cedars Day Nursery children mark Mental Health Awareness Week

Creating a spa day experience and discussing emotions were just some of the wellbeing activities that children from Cedars Day Nursery in Leighton Buzzard enjoyed as they marked Mental Health Awareness Week at the setting.

From applying avocado face masks and making rose petal foot baths to reading books about feelings and practicing yoga, children from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Mentmore Road were delighted to partake in pamper sessions with their friends, as well as discussing the importance of self-care.

Cedars Day Nursery Deputy Manager, Laura Farrell explained;

“Mental Health Awareness Week provides a brilliant opportunity to remind ourselves of the small steps we can take to improve the wellbeing of ourselves and others around us. The children had a brilliant time taking part in these activities and this presented the chance for lots of important conversations on the topic.”
