Colleagues from Cedars Day Nursery in Leighton Buzzard showcased their creativity and team spirit as they took part in a fun-filled cake-off competition.
The activity formed part of a wellbeing day initiative at the nursery on Mentmore Road, designed to encourage colleagues to relax, connect and enjoy time together outside of their usual routines. Here each colleague was challenged to decorate a cupcake, with imaginative designs ranging from animals and weather scenes to football-inspired creations.
To help judge the competition, the nursery welcomed Childbase Partnership Chairman; Mike Thompson, who carefully inspected the colourful entries before crowning Caroline Hill as the winner, with Amy Lawman secured second place and Alice Davage third.
Cedars Day Nursery Manager, Lauren Trotter said;
“We’re always looking for ways to support colleague wellbeing and bring the team together, and the cake-off competition was a brilliant way to do that. Everyone really embraced the challenge and it was fantastic to see so much creativity and laughter throughout the day. We were also delighted to welcome Mike Thompson to help judge and join in with the fun.”
The cake-off competition was one of several activities organised as part of the nursery’s ongoing commitment to colleague wellbeing and creating a positive workplace culture.
