Cedar Park Day Nursery children create a police station

Following an interest in ‘people that help us’, children from Cedar Park Day Nursery in Twyford were delighted to turn their role play area into a police station, before learning more about the important role that officers play within the community.

At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Bridge Farm Road, pre-schoolers took part in their very own crime scene investigation and enjoyed using walkie talkies, taking fingerprints and conducting interviews, before holding a meeting to discuss the ‘laws’ that they should follow at the setting to keep everyone safe.

Cedar Park Day Nursery Manager, Rachael Main explained;

“We love to follow the children’s interests in nursery to provide them with rich learning experiences and further their knowledge. We are currently in the process of arranging for a local police officer to visit to discuss personal safety and the job role in more depth, which we are all very much looking forward to.”
