Beloved book characters come to life at Julia Durbin Day Nursery

Children from Julia Durbin Day Nursery in Headington marked the 22nd annual ‘World Book Day’ by dressing up as their favourite storybook characters.

At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Roosevelt Drive, costumes included that of ‘Where’s Wally’ and the famous tiger from ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’.

As part of the celebrations, children spent the day reading beloved books and taking part in a series of themed activities.

Julia Durbin Day Nursery Manager, Emma Wallbridge explained;

“Each year we see such an amazing amount of effort go into the costumes, which is reflective of just how much the children love these stories. Reading is essential for capturing imaginations and building literary confidence.”
