Bags of help for ‘Mind’ at Meadow View Day Nursery

Practitioners from Meadow View Day Nursery in Newport Pagnell have collected 40 bags filled with clothes for mental health charity ‘Mind’.

At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery in Westbury Lane, parents and practitioners have donated pre-loved clothes and textiles to ‘Phil the Bag’, a scheme which turns materials into money based on the total weight.

Once the cheque is received, Meadow View Day Nursery will be donating the total to ‘Mind’ as part of their year-long fundraising drive. Other fundraising initiatives so far have included movie nights and dress up days.

“We aim to make a real difference when it comes to supporting worthy causes and Mind is reaching out to about 14 million people a year in the UK who are experiencing a mental health problem,” said Elkie Taylor, Nursery Manager.

Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Money raised will fund the charity’s work including the Mind Infoline and campaigning to secure a better deal for everybody who experiences a mental health problem.
