Lime Grove Day Nursery children enjoy library visit

There were exciting learning opportunities at every turn for children at Lime Grove Day Nursery in Hemel Hempstead as they embarked on a trip to their local library.

During the visit, young reading enthusiasts from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Park Road were delighted to partake in the library Rhyme Time session, where they joined in with songs and actions to develop their communication and language skills.

As part of the exciting learning experience, children were thrilled to receive their very own certificate of achievement for their efforts, before browsing the bookshelves of the Hemel Hempstead Library for beloved stories to read and borrow to take back to nursery. 

Lime Grove Day Nursery Team Leader, Robyn Shuck explained;

“The children had a fantastic time visiting the library and this was a brilliant reminder of how lucky we are to have this service on our doorstep. The group loved joining in with the Rhyme Time session and were captivated when admiring the huge selection of books. They love stories and we hope that this will visit will continue to inspire their enthusiasm for reading.”
