Knowle Green Day Nursery families enjoy pumpkin carving session
Families from Knowle Green Day Nursery in Staines enjoyed getting in the Halloween spirit with a special pumpkin carving session, all whilst raising vital funds for charity ‘Bliss’.
At the award-winning setting on Knowle Green, children and parents gathered in the garden outside where they were delighted to pick their very own pumpkins from the patch, before showcasing their creativity by carving and decorating a range of spooky designs.
As part of the festivities, children were also able to immerse themselves in a selection of themed sensory activities, from bones in mud to playdough in flour, as well as having their faces painted for the occasion by talented Nursery Practitioners.
With the generosity of nursery families, the Knowle Green team were able to raise a grand total of £205.00 for Bliss, which will now go towards helping babies born premature or sick.
Knowle Green Day Nursery Quality Manager, Hayley Blissett explained;
“We pride ourselves on having a strong parent partnership at Knowle Green and we love having families join us for celebrations like this one throughout the year. Not only have we created some lovely memories, but also raised money for such a worthy cause in the process. We all had a brilliant time and are now looking forward to our next event.”
Knowle Green have adopted Bliss for a year-long fundraising drive.
