Holiday Buying and Selling Form

Some colleagues may have special circumstances where they need to take a longer period of holiday or may not wish to use all of the annual leave allowance and for this reason Childbase Partnership operates a policy of allowing colleagues to apply to 'buy' or 'sell' some holiday entitlement, subject to certain conditions.

The maximum amount of additional annual leave that any colleague may 'buy' in any one holiday year is 5 days.

The Company reserves the right to refuse a colleagues application to buy or sell holiday, it may be necessary to refuse a colleagues request for operational reasons related to their job or in the Line Manager’s opinion, it would not be in the colleagues best interests.

You can work out a day's holiday by dividing your weekly contracted hours by the number of days you work each week

Over how many months would you like your holiday buying cost to be taken?(Required)

You can choose 1 payment of the full amount or up to 5 equal payments taken out of your monthly salary.

The maximum amount of annual leave that you may 'sell' in any one holiday year is 5 days, however in order to sell 5 days, you must be on a minimum of 25 days annual leave entitlement, because no colleague member is permitted to take less than 20 days annual leave per year.

The value of the bought or sold leave will be based on your hourly rate on the date of the request multiplied by the number of hours you wish to buy or sell.

For buying requests this value will be deducted into up to 5 equal instalments from your normal monthly salary. If the request is submitted to payroll after the payroll cut-off the first payment will be taken in the subsequent month.

For selling requests you will receive the total payment in the month of your request, provided it is submitted before payroll cut-off.
