Festivities were well underway at Windmill Hill Day Nursery in Swindon as families gathered to celebrate Easter, the first large event to take place at the setting since Covid restrictions.
At the award-winning nursery on Windmill Hill Business Park, Whitehill Way, children were delighted to immerse themselves in all the occasion had to offer, from biscuit decorating and face painting to an exciting Easter egg hunt. Meanwhile, parents enjoyed socialising over an array of refreshments, as well as taking part in a tombola, all to raise funds for charity ‘Bliss’.
As a result of their efforts and the generosity of families involved, Windmill Hill Day Nursery raised a grand total of £640.00, which will now go towards helping babies who are born sick or premature get the care they need, as well as supporting families and medical teams.
Windmill Hill Day Nursery Quality Lead, Gemma Gill explained;
“We had a wonderful turn out to our Easter event and this was a brilliant opportunity to catch up with nursery families and introduce them to our beautiful outdoor area and learning spaces for the children. We are so grateful for the support in our fundraising efforts and are thrilled to be making this donation to such a worthy cause.”
