Easter Bonnet Parade at Westwood Day

Festivities were well underway at Westwood Day Nursery in Coventry as children proudly modelled their homemade Easter bonnets for a special parade at the setting.

Having been tasked with making their bonnets over the Easter bank holiday, pre-schoolers from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Westwood Business Park were delighted to showcase their creations in front of their friends, practitioners and nursery families, before each being awarded an Easter treat for their efforts.

As part of the celebrations, children were immersed in themed activities, from decorating eggs to reading Easter themed stories, all whilst discussing their exciting Easter weekends.

Westwood Day Nursery Manager, Lyndsey Matthews explained;

“Our annual Easter Bonnet Parade is always a huge success and its lovely to see the hard work and creativity that goes into the designs. We love to mark a wide range of special occasions in nursery throughout the year to give the children a better understanding of the world around them and create lasting memories for our nursery families.”
