A team of four colleagues from Cedar Park Day Nursery in Twyford were delighted to complete a 5k charity walk, raising vital funds to support babies born premature or sick.
Working individually to make up the target distance and with pets in tow, Amelia George-Ellis, Stella Chien, Jade Demuth and Rachael Main from the award-winning setting on Bridge Farm Road were thrilled to achieve their goal, raising a grand total of £341.00 for Bliss, with donations still incoming from generous nursery parents and staff members.
Cedar Park Day Nursery Manager, Rachael Main explained;
“Raising money for charity has always been hugely important to us as a team and we are always trying to find opportunities to help. Bliss is an incredibly worthy cause and we are very proud to be supporting them this year with the help of our amazing nursery families.”
The charity walk is the latest in a series of fundraising initiatives for Cedar Park, whose colleagues have recently spent the night ‘sleeping rough’ under the stars as part of the Childbase Partnership ‘Big Sleep Out’, as well as holding a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Tea Party and raffle, squats challenge and more to raise money for Bliss.
