Celebrations were well underway at Brinds Well Day Nursery in Chelsfield as families and colleagues gathered for a Summer Open Day, all whilst raising vital funds for charity.
At the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Hawstead Lane, children were delighted to immerse themselves in the fun and games on offer, from face painting to biscuit decorating, whilst parents enjoyed socialising over a barbeque and browsing the wide array of stalls, with vendors including Usborne Books, The Body Shop and independent local businesses.
During the festivities, families had the opportunity to take part in a variety of charity raffles and tombolas to raise money for The Trussell Trust, with prizes including gift hampers, fruit baskets, perfume, toys, flower bouquets and more, with proceeds raising over £500.00 for the cause, which will go towards helping feed local people who need it most.
Brinds Well Day Nursery Manager, Vanessa Watkins explained;
“We had a brilliant day celebrating with everyone and raising so much for The Trussell Trust was an incredible bonus, which will do so much good in our community. Despite the current climate being tough for everyone, our nursery families still show such incredible kindness towards those less fortunate and we are so grateful for their support and generosity.”
Brinds Well Day Nursery have adopted The Trussell Trust for a year-long fundraising and donation drive.
We prioritise the importance of outdoor play at Cedars Day Nursery in Leighton Buzzard. All children at our Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ nursery have access to our large, natural garden area on a daily basis as we recognise the impact that being outdoors has on a child’s social, emotional and physical development. The children enjoy planting vegetables and tasting their produce, served by our dedicated Nursery Chef.
