Reinventing Blue Monday at Brinds Well

Brinds Well Blue Monday

Despite being labelled as the ‘the gloomiest day of the year’, there were smiles all round at Brinds Well Day Nursery in Chelsfield as colleagues reinvented ‘Blue Monday’ with a series of inspired wellbeing activities, courtesy of their grateful managers.

Dressed in red and orange to represent warmth, energy, power and strength, staff teams from the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Hawstead Lane went against the ‘blue’ theme to promote positivity, as well as taking part in puzzles and games in their rest areas and enjoying a series of sweet treats including fresh fruit and cakes as the perfect antidote.

The latest celebration in nursery follows a new company wellbeing initiative launched in January, giving each colleague the potential to earn up to 20 extra days of paid leave throughout 2024, based on attendance, to help improve and enhance work-life balance.

Brinds Well Day Nursery Manager, Vanessa Watkins explained;

“We’re so fortunate to have such an incredible team that makes every day at the nursery a joyous and fulfilling one; because of them there are no Blue Mondays. The enthusiasm and positivity they bring to work truly makes a difference in the lives of the little ones we care for.”

‘Blue Monday’ is marked on the third Monday of January every year.
