Beary special picnic at Hampstead Gate Day Nursery

The sun was shining at Hampstead Gate Day Nursery in Milton Keynes as families and colleagues gathered for a special teddy bear’s picnic, all whilst raising money for charity.

At the award-winning setting on Eelbrook Avenue, children were joined by their parents, grandparents and favourite cuddly toys, where they enjoyed a spread of homemade sandwiches, pastry pinwheels, fresh crudité platters and more, expertly prepared for the occasion by talented Nursery Chef, Olivia Cherry and Kitchen Assistant, Georgie Lloyd.

As part of the festivities, families made both monetary donations and physical contributions of essential items to help keep their local food bank well stocked in supplies to serve the community, having pledged a year-long campaign in support of The Trussell Trust.

Hampstead Gate Day Nursery Team Leader, Jordan Hall explained;

“It was such a pleasure to welcome our nursery families for the picnic and we had a brilliant time catching up with everyone. The children were delighted to show their parents their exciting learning environments and all the hard work they have been putting into their garden eco-projects. We are also thrilled to be helping the worthy cause that is The Trussell Trust in the process and are hugely grateful for the continued support in making this happen.”
