Summer Fete raises over £600 for charity at Newport Pagnell Day Nursery
Children’s favourite, Elmer the Elephant, joined Meadow View Day Nursery in Newport Pagnell for their annual summer fete. The fete raised over £600 for the disabled children’s charity, Children Today.
The beloved classic children’s book character wasn’t the only attraction at the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding Day Nursery fete in Westbury Lane, where a planting wall display, treasure hunt, and ‘would you like?’ stall with jars filled with ingredients to make powder paint and moon sand inside, proved popular with children, parents and locals.
“This is the highlight in a busy social calendar at Meadow View as we get to spend quality time with the parents of our children and, of course, our neighbours,” said Nursery Manager Elkie Taylor.
“I would like to thank everyone who worked hard in making this an enjoyable and successful event.”
Children Today is a charity that raises funds to provide specialised equipment and services for children and young people with disabilities throughout the UK. Following a company-wide vote, Childbase is delighted to be supporting Children Today.
